What steps to take in the case of death?
In the event of death in the family, or in your vicinity, we are always close to you.
The following section describes how to proceed in case of death in an apartment or hospital. If you find yourself in a situation that does not correspond to a description of one situation, or if death occurred abroad, call our telephone numbers or write to us and we will contact you immediately.

Wait for the doctor to come
An emergency doctor from 112 will call the appropriate doctor.

Determination of death
The doctor:
A: Determine the cause of death at the place of death
He will publish a Letter on Dead Search and a statistical report on death. Call our Permanent Service on +421 904 144 144 or +421 910 486 840 (english, deutsch) and come to one of our offices during the opening hours.
B: Can't determine the cause of death
Call a contract service to transport the deceased to an autopsy. Visit one of our offices at the earliest possible time during opening hours.
Death in the hospital

Notification of death
If you are absent, the hospital's acting employee will tell you by phone that your relative one has died.

Care for the deceased
The hospital staff will arrange all the following operations, including the transfer of the deceased to the cooling boxes.
